Shaler-Hampton EMS was incorporated in 1992 as a non-profit 501c3 charitable organization. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven voting members including our medical director and one ex-officio member who is the Chief of Police of Shaler Township.
Shaler-Hampton EMS operates three ALS (Advanced Life Support) ambulances which are crewed by a combination of paid staff and certified volunteers.

Shaler EMS is involved in many emergency medical alliances including: NEAA (NorthEast Ambulance Alliance), PAA (Pennsylvania Ambulance Association, and AAA (American Ambulance Association).
